As a way to show my appreciation to the university and its alumni, I've developed a program for any current Texas Ex members. If you are not currently a member, simply join for any commitment level and you qualify. I will just need to verify the membership status and your appraisal will be covered at the time of closing on your purchase or refinance.
The appraisal is an integral part of the home loan process; it provides the value of the property and is a major security for the mortgage. Prices for appraisals can range anywhere from $250 to $500 for jumbo or non-conforming loans. With this offer for Texas Ex members, no matter what the price is for the appraisal, I will credit it to my client at the time of closing. The offer is not valid if closing does not occur on the property and the appraisal fee will be charged to the borrower.
If you are not currently a member of Texas Exes, all you have to do is sign up and show proof that you have paid for any level of membership. A life membership is $750 for a single individual and an associate Life Membership is an initial investment of $25 and then $25 every other month until paid in full. Simply stated, a non-member can pay $25 to qualify to save $350 or more at the time of their closing on a home!
